I am writing to express my gratitude for the opportunity to participate in your mentorship training program over the past 8 weeks. The two-hour Zoom sessions every Tuesday and Thursday have been incredibly insightful and have impacted my understanding of the challenges faced by individuals re-entering into society after involvement with the criminal justice system. I have been deeply impressed by the comprehensive nature of the training. From navigating college enrollment and completing FASFA forms to addressing the multifaceted aspects of reentry. The curriculum has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. I especially appreciate the emphasis placed on how to answer the felony question on applications and all of the positive speaking and encouragement from everyone.
This training has not only equipped me with the necessary tools to be an effective mentor but has also further ignited my passion to support individuals who have experienced incarceration, addiction, or mental health challenges. This is a cause that is deeply important to me, and I am incredibly grateful that P2P has provided me with the pathway to contribute meaningfully in this area. Thank you for your dedication, expertise, and for creating a program that empowers individuals like myself to become impactful mentors. I am eager to utilize the knowledge and skills I have gained to make a positive difference in the lives of others. And I look forward to being a mentor to those in need.
Sincerely,
Jason Lewis
