Being part of P2P has been an incredible experience for me. I have found a supportive community that is always there for me whenever I need help. Through P2P, I have gained valuable leadership skills and learned effective methods of advocacy, which have been instrumental in my journey of advocating for change within the carceral system. Additionally, P2P has provided me with many helpful tools to assist me in various stages of my higher education, such as preparing for the GRE, writing a personal statement, and finding scholarships. Most importantly, P2P has helped me overcome my fear of public speaking and has exposed me to a range of new opportunities and experiences that I never thought were possible. As a result, I have gained more confidence and awareness, which has inspired me to aim higher and reach for greater heights.
