Taylor Lofton is currently a third-year doctoral candidate in the Microbiology Program at Howard University, where she is conducting research under the guidance of Dr. Karl Thompson in the Department of Microbiology. Her present research project focuses on the role of Cutibacterium acnes in the transformation of prostate cells. Taylor holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering Science from the University of Rochester. Her research interests encompass areas such as cancer biology, the interactions within the skin and gut microbiomes, and various aspects of immunology. |
