Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are often cast as uniquely “American” concepts. However, the goal of DEI is to address areas of unfairness and lack of opportunity in the ways we work--which makes DEI a global conversation. At P2P, we hold the perspective that when any specific population is marginalized, in any way, we all lose.

Culturally Relevant Language and Framing
While we aim to give people a consistent experience, we are mindful of how we can best tailor our language, scenarios and examples to maximize engagement and understanding in international contexts. Many of our facilitators have international experience and understand the nuances of working across cultures. We also understand that different locations may be more sensitive to certain topics, so--while we don’t shy away from difficult topics--carefully navigating challenging conversations is of primary concern to us. To ensure we match our services to the cultural context, we work closely with our client partners to gather information in advance. We also do our own due diligence to understand the cultural context of the region.
Geographically Adaptive Methodology
As part of our process for consulting, coaching, or facilitation engagements, we spend time surveying and interviewing multiple stakeholders so that recommendations and training workshops feel solidly grounded in a company’s unique culture and context. However, we understand that different locations have specific legal guardrails when it comes to data collection and identity language (e.g., racial identification methods are different in the US and the EU). We always ensure our data collection and strategic approaches take into account region-specific challenges or norms when worked with our global partners.
